Barcelona squared up against Catalonia rivals, Espanyol in a home derby. Coming off their el-classico win, Barcelona came in confident and were well on their way when Spanish attacker, Dani Olmo put them forward. The assist came from Lamine Yamal, who increase his tally to over 10 goals and assists in all competitions.
Raphinha scored the second for Barcelona, with assist from Casado. Dani Olmo scored his second of the game to take Barcelona 3 goals up in the first half.
In the second half, Espanyol pulled a goal back through Javi Puado in the second half to make it 3-1. Espanyol will feel a little hard done by, with 2 goals being disallowed in the two halves.
The win sees Barcelona extend their lead at the top to 9 points at the top. Real Madrid however, have a game in hand as their match against Valencia was postponed.
