Barcelona’s midfield star Pedri has recently revealed that players who arrive late to training at Barcelona pay a very heavy fine.
He disclosed this on the Spanish show ‘Martínez y Hermanos’ via AS.
According to the 21 year old, “If anyone arrives late, they are normally made to pay 1,000 euros for every minute of delay”.
“The fine was doubled when under the orders of Xavi Hernández. For his part, Hansi Flick has tackled this problem by implementing a more extreme sanction, and that is that whoever arrives late does not directly play in the team’s next match”, he said.
Pedri’s comments demonstrates the level of discipline and commitment which has been one of the contributory factors to the impressive season Barcelona is having currently.
Pedri will be hoping to play an important part as Barcelona face Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League tonight.
