Images of Pau Cubarsi’s facial injury have surfaced after Barcelona’s clash with Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday night.
The 17 year old took a boot to the face in the second half of the clash and was substituted with Sergi Dominguez taking his place.
Pictures of the injury were uploaded on Barcelona’s social media accounts after the match.
In-form Barcelona sealed a massive win on the road courtesy of a brace by Robert Lewandowski, and goals from Raphinha, Inigo Martinez and Fermin Lopez with the game ending 5-2 in favour of the visitors.
Barcelona boss, Hansi Flick assessed the injury after the match. He said: “Cubarsi is fine, he’s been given stitches, but he’s young. When you get older it’s not good, but now it is. They gave him 10 stitches in the face.”
As a result of the victory, Barcelona moved up to sixth place in the Champions League table.
