Super Eagles of Nigeria star Victor Osimhen continues to build on his incredible start with Galatasaray in the Süper Lig.
With a special tribute to his teammate Mauro Icardi, Osimhen scored two headers against second-place Samsunspor.
Osimhen gave Galatasaray an early lead over their closest opponent in the Süper Lig as the opening goal was scored barely three minutes into the match.
After Icardi tore his ACL and was sidelined for the remainder of the season, Osimhen raised up his jersey as a show of support.
After Samsunspor leveled the score, Osimhen scored his second goal in the 55th minute to put Galatasaray back in front
In just six games this season, Osimhen has six goals and two assists in the league.
Michy Batshuayi also scored as Galatasaray were able to hold on for a 3-2 victory.
Osimhen has become the first player in the Süper Lig to score or assist in all six of his games.
The reigning CAF Player of the Year will now join up with the Super Eagles as he has been called up for Nigeria’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic and Amavubi of Rwanda.
