The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to tackle the final round of matches in the AFCO 2025 qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The game against Benin will take place on the 14th in their adopted home stadium in Cote d’Ivoire before Austin Eguavoen’s men return to Godswill Akpabio Stadium to face Rwanda.
Fulham defender Calvin Bassey, who has already arrived in camp, is one of the team’s most consistent performers and will be expected to start both games.
Speaking ahead of the fixtures, Bassey talked about the talent in the Super Eagles squad and revealed the one player that defenders hate to mark in training.
“If you ask around, most defenders will tell you, Moses Simon.
“He is so unpredictable, making it hard to tell when he will run at you or make a simple pass.
“He is the one we don’t enjoy playing against in training.”
