Ethan Nwaneri wrote his name in the history books as he scored his first ever Premier League goal in Arsenal’s victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.

The youngster, born to Nigerian parents, came on as a substitute in 82nd minute and scored just four minutes later to round up a dominant afternoon at the Emirates.

With his goal, the teenager became the second youngest ever player to score a Premier League goal for Arsenal at 17 years 247 days.

He joins a list of great players who have achieved this remarkable feat with Spanish legend, Cesc Fabregas still the record holder, scoring his first league goal at 17 years 113 days.

Nwaneri has leapfrogged Jack Wilshere who scored his first league goal against Aston Villa on November 27, 2010 when he was 18 years, 22 days old.
