Real Madrid attacker Kylian Mbappe has hailed teammate Vinicius Junior, squashing rumors of any problems between the two.
Mbappe was criticized in sections of the media for failing to openly back Vinicius for the Ballon d’Or, amid rumors that the France captain wanted to be the main man at Real Madrid.
However, the France captain has come out to clarify his relationship, insisting he has a great relationship with the Brazilian international.
Mbappe spoke after scoring for Real Madrid in the 3-0 win over Leganes in LaLiga on Sunday.
Speaking to Real Madrid TV after the game, the 25-year-old said:
“Vini Jr. and I read each other very well. I’ve got a great relationship with him, and he’s a great player.
“The best players are here, and we are ready to win a lot of games and trophies.”
