Ademola Lookman

Ademola Lookman had a very impressive performance despite Atalanta’s narrow loss to Real Madrid at the Gewiss, Bergamo on Tuesday night.

The Super Eagles forward and his teammates kept Carlo Ancelotti’s men under siege for most parts of the game even though the reigning champions won eventually.

Lookman found the back of the net in the 3-2 loss as he increased his goals tally in the competition to three.

Kylian Mbappe gave Carlo Ancelotti’s men an early lead as he received a defense-splitting pass Brahim Dias before powering a low drive into the back of the net.

The home side turned the pressure on the visitors for more than half an hour as they looked to equalize..

Aurelien Tchouameni gave the home side a lifeline after he committed a foul in the box which gave the referee no option than to award a penalty for the home side.

Belgian midfielder Charles De Ketelare converted the spot kicks to date Atalanta level.

A brief moment of lack of concentration at the start of the second half cost Gian Piero Gasperini’s men.

Vinicius Jr on his return from injury and Jude Bellingham capitalize on it in quick succession to give Real Madrid the lead.

Ademola Lookman reduced the deficit with a low shot from inside the box tomake the score line 3-2.

Atalanta attempts to draw level got nullified as the champions left Bergamo with maximum points which leaves them in a playoffs spot of the UEFA Champions League new format.
