Maduka Okoye has undergone a successful surgery to repair his right wrist.
Okoye injured his right wrist in Udinese’s 2-0 home loss to Genoa in a recent Serie A fixture where he featured for 90 minutes.
Udinese in a statement confirmed that surgery took place in Milan and was conducted by Dr. Loris Pegoli at the popular La Madonnina Clinic.
“Maduka Okoye underwent surgery to repair the injury to the scapholunate ligament of his right wrist,” the club confirmed.
“The operation, performed by Dr. Loris Pegoli at the “La Madonnina” clinic in Milan, was a complete success. The footballer will begin rehabilitation in the coming weeks.”
In Okoye’s absence Udinese ended their five-game winless streak with a 2-1 win away at Monza on Monday evening.
Lorenzo Lucca and Luka Bijol scored in each half to give Udinese the win.
Maduka Okoye will look to get back in between the sticks soon to continue his impressive run for the club since the start of the season.
