The GOAT debate involving Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is one that will rage on for years to come.
Fans, observers, and players have all been made to pick one of the two legends, and Manchester United’s Amad Diallo is the latest in a long list of stars posed with the question.
Diallo took part in a challenge where he had to name eight top players and then choose the best among them in a knockout format.
The winger’s selections included some of the biggest names in football, with Marcus Rashford as the best player he has played with, Lionel Messi as his childhood idol, and Alejandro Garnacho as the fastest player he has seen.
Diallo also picked Wayne Rooney as the best Manchester United player in Premier League history, Didier Drogba as the best Ivorian player to have played in the Premier League, and Cristiano Ronaldo as the best dribbler in the Premier League.
Additionally, Neymar was his favorite winger, and Nemanja Vidic was the best defender in Premier League history.
As Diallo narrowed down his choices, he eventually had to pick between Messi and Ronaldo in the final round. With a smile, he covered his face with his hands and said, “Sorry, guys, Messi.”
