The home side held on to their slim lead into the first break as Lazio struggled to create meaningful efforts towards goal.
Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru started in midfield but was average as Braga dedicated proceedings.
However, Lazio improved on their performance in the second half.
Lukas Hornicek pulled a brilliant save to deny Tijjani Noslin’s header towards the middle of goal.
Ricardo Horta almost doubled the lead for Braga late in the game but Christos Mandas made am impressive save.
Despite the win, Braga crashed out of the Europa League while Lazio secured an automatic spot into the round of sixteen.
