Scottish giants Celtic are reportedly keen on adding to their attack before the end of the January transfer window.
The defending Scottish League champions believe Nigeria and Sevilla star Kelechi Iheanacho could elevate their attack as they push for a strong finish domestically and in Europe.
Iheanacho is well known to Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers as the pair worked together at Leicester City, and were successful in bringing an FA Cup to the King Power Stadium.
According to reports, Celtic are keen on pursuing a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer, and would ideally like to get the deal over the line before Monday’s deadline.
The Nigeria international made the switch to Sevilla on a free transfer in the summer but has failed to inspire, making 9 league appearances without scoring a single goal for the club.
He was named among the substitutes in Sevilla’s 0-0 draw with Getafe on Saturday and has been advised by manager Garcia Pimienta to find a new club.
