In a recent interview, Nigerian football sensation Victor Osimhen delighted fans by revealing his favorite local delicacy: amala.
During a rapid-fire question session, Osimhen was asked which Nigerian dish everyone should try. Without hesitation, he responded, “Amala.” Osimhen, originally from Edo State, said further; “I grew up in the Yoruba land. Not everyone likes this (Amala) but we the Yorubas really love this dish and I think everyone should try it.”
This traditional Nigerian dish, made from yam or cassava flour, is particularly popular among the Yoruba people. Osimhen’s choice underscores his appreciation for Nigerian cuisine and culture.
The interview clip has been widely shared across social media platforms, with fans expressing their admiration for Osimhen’s authenticity.
The striker, on loan from Napoli, has been in fine form leading the line for Galatasaray this season scoring 17 goals in just 22 appearances.
