Chelsea’s three-game losing streak ended on Tuesday night as the Blues took apart relegation-bound Southampton.
The Blues compounded Southampton’s woes after a 4-0 at Stamford Bridge as they recorded their first win in three matches.
Aaron Ramsdale had a quite a busy night in between the sticks for the Saints as he stopped Cole Palmer’s shot in the 23rd minute.
However, Christopher Nkunku gave Chelsea the lead a minute later from a header into the middle of the net.
Christopher Nkunku layed a beautiful pass for Pedro Neto who shot from range to double Chelsea’s lead.
Levi Colwoll increased the lead for Chelsea just before halftime as he planted a header from a piece into the back of the net.
Marc Cucurella got the final bite of the cherry as he latched on to a pass in the box and buried a low drive into the right corner of goal.
Chelsea’s win move them into the top four as Manchester City drop to fifth on the log while Southampton remain rock-bottom.
However, the Cityzens have a game at hand with abiut 11 matches left.
