Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare is the recipient of the 2025 Ebony Shoe Award in the Belgian Jupiler League.
Arokodare becomes the sixth Nigerian player to win the accolade after an impressive individual performance this season for Genk.
The Ebony Shoe award recognizes the best player of African descent in the Belgian Jupiler League and Arokodare’s form this season has earned him the prize.

The 24-year-old striker has enjoyed a good run of consistency in front of goal over the course of the season with 20 goals in 38 matches.
Arokodare is currently second on the scorer’s chart with 20 goals – one behind St. Truiden’s striker Andriano Bertaccini.
Toluwalase follows in the footsteps of Paul Onuachu who won the award in 2021.
Other winners include Daniel Amokachi (Club Brugge, 1991, 1994), Victor Ikpeba (RFC Liege), 1993), Godwin Okpara (Eendracht Aalst, 1995), Celestine Babayaro (Anderlecht, 1996).
