Afrobeats star Skales is once again enjoying international recognition as his 2014 hit single “Shake Body” finds renewed popularity on the global stage.
The latest spotlight came from the Chelsea Women’s Football Club, who celebrated their emphatic 3–0 victory over Manchester United in the Women’s FA Cup final with a jubilant locker room dance party, to no song other than Skales’ infectious anthem.
In a video that has since gone viral, the Chelsea players, still adorned in their kits and proudly displaying their winners’ medals, were seen dancing enthusiastically to the song, bringing a distinct Afrobeat flair to their post-match celebrations.
This moment follows a recent instance where Spanish youngster, Lamine Yamal was also captured dancing to “Shake Body” during a national team event.
Originally released in 2014, “Shake Body” has proven its longevity in the international music scene, continually resonating with new audiences over the years.
