“Where it all started” – Ahmed Musa returns to Jos to play street football

It’s that time of the year when footballers visit their grassroots coach, friends teammates, old football pitch, or training ground.

It’s a long-standing tradition, especially among African players, as they connect with where they started their career before stardom.

Ahmed Musa, the Super Eagles legend returned to the pitch where he used to play football in Jos.

The 2013 AFCON winner laced his boots and stepped onto the brown “turf” to recreate the memory.

Ahmed Musa shared the memory on his X page and captioned it as “Where it all started J Town #home”.

As expected, the presence of the Super Eagles legend attracted people who came to watch him play football from close range.

Ahmed Musa started his professional career with Jos University Teaching Hospital Football Club (JUTH FC) before moving to Kano Pillars where he finished as top scorer of the league with 18 goals in 2010.

Ahmed Musa has played for a couple of clubs in Europe though out his throughoutreer.

The 32-year-old forward currently plays for Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Musa scored 10 goals in 23 games for Kano Pillars in the 2024/2025 football season.
