Former Super Eagles and Manchester United striker, Odion Jude Ighalo celebrated his 36th birthday today, joined by his twin sister, in a touching tribute orchestrated by their devoted mother, Mrs. Martina (Nene) Ighalo.

A moving video shared on social media X (formerly Twitter) captures Mrs. Ighalo pouring out prayers over her twins during their birthday ceremony. She invokes God’s protection, prosperity, and divine guidance, calling upon heaven’s grace to encompass her children throughout the year.

Odion, born on June 16, 1989, in Ekpoma and raised in Lagos, now plays as a forward for Saudi Pro League side Al-Wehda. He and his twin sister, whose name has not been publicly disclosed, were encircled by close family members as Mrs. Ighalo delivered her heartfelt blessings, amidst expressions of gratitude and gentle celebration.

Known for his deep Christian faith and generous charitable contributions, particularly toward impoverished children and widows in Nigeria, Ighalo appeared genuinely moved by the moment. He responded with soft smiles and embraced his mother, visibly touched by her spiritual devotion.

As Odion celebrates this personal milestone, he continues to relish a successful club season in Saudi Arabia. But today, all the attention—and the prayers—were centered on family, faith, and another year of God’s blessings for the Ighalo twins.
