PSG vs Tottenham: 3 Things to Look Out For in UEFA Super Cup Final

Aston Villa Thrash Freiburg 3-0 To Win Europa League

The 2025 UEFA Super Cup final pits Paris Saint-Germain against Tottenham Hotspur at Stadio Friuli, Udine, on Wednesday night.
Spurs will not have Son Heung-min as the South Korea international left the Premier League club recently to join MLS side LAFC.
This clash of Champions League and Europa League winners promises drama, and here are three key elements to watch.

Can Thomas Frank show his Tactical Brilliance on the Big Stage?

Thomas Frank faces a monumental challenge against the best club in the world, PSG. Frank, known for his innovative approach at Brentford, is expected to maintain the same approach in North London.
His ability to maximize set-piece opportunities and tactical intelligence will be crucial. Can he outsmart Luis Enrique with a disciplined yet daring setup, or will they fold like they did in the pre-season battering against Bayern Munich?

Defence vs Attack

PSG’s treble-winning campaign, fueled by Ousmane Dembélé’s 37 goals and Vitinha’s midfield mastery, makes them clear favorites here.
This will be a game of attack vs defence, as Tottenham have nowhere near enough firepower to go toe to toe with PSG’s attack, so, must pick their moments.
They are without James Maddison, who is injured, and Dejan Kulusevski, who’s another one of their major creative players.

PSG’s young guns back again

The Parisians are a team of youth. Most of their players are just approaching their peak years, while forward Desire Doue, who scored twice against Inter, and midfielder Joao Neves are just 20.

They named the youngest starting XI in a Champions League final in the 21st century – 25 years and 96 days – and beat Inter Milan by the biggest margin of victory in a European Cup final ever.

Their oldest regular player is captain and centre-back Marquinhos, who turned 31 in May.
