NWSL side Bay FC joyfully welcomed back Asisat Oshoala after her victorious summer, helping Nigeria’s Super Falcons to a historic win at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2024.
The Super Falcons clinched their record 10th title with an exciting 3-2 comeback against hosts Morocco, proving their grit and teamwork.
This victory, dubbed “Mission X,” was their first since 2018 and came with a $1 million prize, solidifying their status as Africa’s top women’s football team.

Oshoala, often called “Agba Baller,” was a key leader as vice-captain, influencing proceedings, both on and off the pitch, and lifting the team’s spirit.
The six-time CAF Player of the Year remains the face of the Falcons and has been a key player for Bay FC after joining from Barcelona.
The NWSL post captured this happiness, showing Oshoala wrapped in the Nigerian flag, after yet another incredible WAFCON outing.
