Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has reaffirmed his commitment to Udinese, insisting that he remains fully focused on the Italian club despite previous transfer links with Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan.
Okoye, who has established himself as Udinese’s first-choice goalkeeper, dismissed the summer speculation and stressed that his priority is helping the club achieve its targets this season.
The Nigerian goalkeeper recently made a strong return between the posts, keeping a clean sheet as Udinese secured a 1-0 victory over Padova in the Coppa Italia.
Speaking to Tuttoudinese, Okoye said he is determined to give his best for the club, his teammates and the supporters.
“We’re ready. We’ve worked so hard over the past few weeks, and we’re all pumped up for the start of the season,” Okoye said.
“We have our goals, and we want to try to achieve them. Personally, I want to give everything for Udinese, for the team, and for our fans.”
The 26-year-old also explained that while his activities away from football are important to his personal brand, he keeps them separate from his responsibilities on the pitch.
“These things are part of my life and are also important for my personal branding. But I keep the two separate. Football is one thing; what I do off the pitch is another. When I’m here, I think about my work and Udinese.”
Okoye also praised his goalkeeping teammates, highlighting the quality and experience within Udinese’s squad.
“We’re in good hands. Piana is a young goalkeeper and has great talent.
“Then we have Padelli, who brings a lot of quality but, above all, immense experience. I’m excited to see how the boys develop,” he concluded.
With the new season approaching, Okoye appears determined to put transfer speculation behind him and concentrate on continuing his development while helping Udinese push as high as possible in the Serie A standings.
