Premier League Roundup: Villa edge Spurs, Maguire leads United to Anfield upset

Aston Villa pulled off a dramatic comeback with a 2–1 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, securing their fifth consecutive win in all competitions.

Rodrigo Bentancur opened the scoring early for Spurs, but Villa responded when Morgan Rogers unleashed a magnificent long-range strike just before half-time.

Late in the game, Emiliano Buendía curled in a superb winner to seal the win and deepen the home side’s frustrations over missed chances.

Meanwhile, Manchester United ended their nine-year winless streak at Anfield by beating Liverpool 2–1.

United struck inside two minutes through Bryan Mbeumo, survived intense Liverpool pressure, with Cody Gakpo hitting the post three times, and were eventually rewarded when Harry Maguire powered in a header from a Bruno Fernandes cross late in the second half.
