A dramatic day in Ligue 1 delivered goals, surprises and shifting momentum across the table.

Toulouse ran riot with a dominant home win, Lens edged Paris in a tight contest, and Lorient and Brest shared a six-goal thriller. Rennes let another lead slip, while Lille impressed on the road with a composed victory over Nantes.

Here’s how all five matches unfolded.

Lens 2–1 Paris

Lens struck early through a well-worked move involving Adrien Thomasson in the buildup. Paris equalised before the break, but the decisive moment came in the 64th minute when Samson Baidoo rose highest to head in the winner. Lens managed the closing stages well to secure the points despite late pressure from the visitors.

Lorient 3–3 Brest

The Breton derby produced pure chaos and six goals. Lorient burst ahead early, only for Brest to respond with attacking intent of their own.

The game swung end-to-end with both sides taking and surrendering leads. Defending was often an afterthought as chances poured in, and in the end neither team could land the knockout blow. A thrilling draw, but both managers will feel two points slipped away.

Rennes 2–2 Auxerre

Rennes’ frustrations deepened after another lead slipped through their fingers. They went ahead in front of their home crowd but Auxerre refused to fade, equalising and staying in the fight.

Rennes restored their advantage only to concede again, exposing familiar defensive lapses. Auxerre leave with a hard-earned point, while Rennes extend a worrying run without victory.

Toulouse 4–0 Metz

Toulouse dominated from the first whistle and dismantled Metz with a ruthless display. Frank Magri pounced inside two minutes, and a penalty from Aron Dønnum doubled the lead moments later.

Metz’s night worsened when Sadibou Sané was sent off on the stroke of half-time. Toulouse kept pressing, adding goals from Yann Gboho and Charlie Cresswell to cap a commanding, comfortable win.

Nantes 0–2 Lille

Lille delivered a professional away performance to claim all three points at Nantes. They controlled the midfield, stayed compact at the back and struck clinically when chances came.

Nantes rarely threatened and couldn’t find a response once Lille went in front. The visitors added a second to close out the match and climb the table with a deserved victory.
