Premier League side AFC Bournemouth has confirmed that its Spanish manager, Andoni Iraola, will leave the club at the end of the 2025/2026 season.

Bournemouth confirmed the departure of Iraola in a statement on its official website on Tuesday afternoon. The announcement comes three days after the 43-year-old led the club to a 2-1 win at Arsenal to threaten the title hopes of the North London club.

AFC Bournemouth can confirm that Head Coach, Andoni Iraola, will leave the club at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, bringing an end to his successful three-year tenure on the south coast.

Since his appointment, the club has continued to compete in the Premier League, most notably delivering a record points total of 56 in 2024/25 and consequently achieving their joint-highest finish of ninth place.

Iraola has played a pivotal role in establishing the club’s identity in the Premier League, earning widespread recognition for his progressive style of play and commitment to developing both emerging and established talent.

Fitness Coach, Pablo de la Torre, will also leave the club following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

On 19 June 2023, Bournemouth appointed Iraola as manager on a two-year deal. Iraola took charge for the first time in a 1–1 home draw against West Ham United on 12 August, where Dominic Solanke scored a late equaliser. He secured his first win in the tenth league round, beating Burnley 2–1 with goals from Antoine Semenyo and Philip Billing. Iraola extended his contract with the club until 2026 on 13 May 2024; his Cherries team had just finished the season with a best-ever 48 points in 12th place. He led Bournemouth to a 2–1 win over Manchester City, ending their 32-game unbeaten run in the domestic league.

Andoni Iraola is reportedly set to take up a new challenge in his coaching career with a couple of top clubs in Europe already interested in hiring the former Rayo Vellacano coach.
