Nigerian music star Zlatan Ibile was in attendance at the Spotify Camp Nou as FC Barcelona secured a narrow win through a penalty from Lamine Yamal.
Barcelona shared Zlatan presence at the iconic venue ahead of kickoff through the social media platforms, and drew attention from fans online as he joined the matchday atmosphere in Barcelona.
On the pitch, Yamal converted from the spot to hand the hosts victory against Celta Vigo in a tightly contested encounter, ensuring Barcelona claimed all three points, and are now comfortably at the top of the table with 82 points, 9 points above 2nd place Real Madrid.
Zlatan’s appearance at the venue also shows the growing global presence of Nigerian entertainers, as African artists continue to gain visibility on some of the world’s biggest stages especially in football.
