Arsenal trio make Champions League Team of the Season after Champions League loss

Three Arsenal players have been named in UEFA’s Champions League Team of the Season after the Gunners lost to PSG on Saturday evening in Budapest.

French champions, Paris Saint-Germain retained their title at the Puskas Arena as they beat Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on penalties.

PSG claimed their second title 4-3 with Gabriel Magalhaes missing the decisive kick that handed Luis Enrique’s side the title.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Magalhaes, David Raya, and Declan Rice are among the eleven players selected for the 2025/2026 Champions League Best XI.

The trio made significant impact helping Arsenal avoid defeat in regular time throughout the campaign winning all their league phase matches.

Reigning champions, PSG dominated the eleven with five players: Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes and Marquinhos.

Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Michael Olise also made the list as well as Atletico Madrid’s Marcos Llorente.

Kylian Mbappe who finished as the top scorer with 15 goals unfortunately didn’t make the eleven after Real Madrid crashed out in the last eight.
