Ademola Lookman wrote his name in the history books on Saturday night in Atletico Madrid’s Copa Del Rey loss to Real Sociedad.
Atletico Madrid lost 3-4 on penalties after the match ended 2-2 in regular time with Lookman and Alvarez on the score sheet.
Lookman grabbed the first equaliser for the Rojiblancos with a left-footed strike down the bottom corner.
Julian Alvarez scored similarly late in the game to force the tie into extra time at the La Cartuja in Seville.
Despite the loss, Ademola Lookman etched his name in the history of the competition as he is now the second Nigerian player to score in the final of the Copa Del Rey.
He follows the footsteps of Super Eagles legend Finidi George who scored for Real Betis against Barcelona in the 1997 final.
