Ademola Lookman nominated for another award as fairytale year continues

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the prestigious Gran Galà del Calcio awards, recognizing his outstanding performances in Italian football last season.

Lookman’s remarkable season with Atalanta, particularly his historic match-winning contribution in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, has earned him global recognition.

Between April and the end of the season, Lookman’s 14 goal contributions (eight goals and six assists) surpassed all other players in Europe’s ‘Big 5′ leagues.

This nomination is the latest addition to Lookman’s growing list of accolades, which includes:

– 14th place finish in the Ballon d’Or
– Nomination for the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards
– Nomination for 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year

The Gran Galà del Calcio awards ceremony, honoring excellence in Italian football, will take place on December 2. The awards are determined by votes from the Italian Players’ Association (AIC).

Lookman is nominated for Forward of the Year, competing alongside Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan, and Rafael Leao of AC Milan.
