Ademola Lookman has been ruled out of the Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League match against Barcelona.
European football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the 27-year-old forward will undergo further test after picking up a knee injury.
Lookman played for La Dea as they beat Como 2-1 to record their first league win of the year.
The reigning African footballer of the year featured for more than an hour in the match before leaving the pitch for Rafael Toloi after 78 minutes.
The Super Eagles forward has been immense for Gian Piero Gaperini’s side in the Champions League with four goals and two assists in six matches this season.
Ademola Lookman won’t be available for selection on Wednesday night and is also expected to miss a couple of Serie A matches.
Atalanta will qualify automatically qualify for the second round of the competition if they avoid defeat on Wednesday night.
La Dea currently occupy the 7th spot on the log with 14 points from seven matches.
