AFCON 2025
Starting on Sunday, October 6, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will report to camp in Uyo in order to get ready for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Libya.
During the international football window in October, Nigeria and Libya will play two consecutive matches.

For the Super Eagles and the Mediterranean Knights first leg Godfrey Philip Nkhakananga, a Malawian-born referee, has been appointed by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to take charge of the event.
Joseph Nyauti and Clemence Kanduku, two of Nkhakananga’s countrymen, have also been named assistant referees 1 and 2, respectively.
Keabetswe Dintwa of Botswana will be the fourth official while Issaka Boubacar of Niger and Mayowa Akingbemisilu will handle the roles of referee assessor and broadcast venue manager, respectively.
The first leg is scheduled for October 11 in Uyo’s Akwa Ibom Stadium, and the second leg is scheduled for October 15 in Benina.
The Super Eagles will be looking to build on their outstanding start to the AFCON qualifiers after winning their opening game 3-0 against Benin Republic and earning a goalless draw with Rwanda in Kigali.
