AFRICAN PLAYERS: OSIMHEN, CHUKWUEZE OTHERS SCORED FOR THEIR TEAMS

African players did really well over the weekend for their teams by scoring and increasing their goal tally for the season. In the top five leagues in Europe African players have been dominating and have been in good goal scoring form this season. Top of that chart is obviously Victor Osimhen who can’t stop scoring and breaking records, he has now scored in 9 consecutive games for his side and his the leading scorer in Serie A.

EMPOLI VS NAPOLI:

Napoli extended their lead at the top of Serie A to 18 points by winning away from home to Empoli. Napoli’s dream for the Scudetto is still on with the 2-0 win and the league’s top scorer was on the score-sheet as he tapped in his team’s second goal to seal all three points. Osimhen now has 19 goals in 20 games with 3 assist to his name.

SEVILLA VS OSASUNA:

Sevilla lost at home 2-3 in a thrilling game; Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri scored the equalizer to make it 2-2. The World Cup star has scored 4 goals in 19 games so far this season.

BAYERN VS UNION BERLIN:

Bayern extended their league at the top of Bundesliga after defeating third place Union Berlin at home 3-0. Cameroon striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting gave Bayern the lead scoring after 31 minute. The former PSG striker has scored 9 goals this season in 16 games with 2 assist.

MONACO VS NICE:

Monaco lost at home to Nice 0-3 to dent their hope for the title chase. Nigerian striker Terem Moffi scored a brace and also got and assist for the third goal; he won the man of the match award. Moffi has now scored 14 goals in 22 games this season added with one assist.

VILLAREAL VS GETAFE:
Struggling Villareal finally won at home by coming from behind to defeat Getafe 2-1 after 4 consecutive defeats. Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze won the man of the match award after scoring one and assisting the other. Samuel has registered 3 goals and 3 assist in this campaign.

With the next round of league matches and other competitions coming thick and fast we hope to see African players continue with their goal scoring form for their respective teams.
