AIK recruitment manager Miika Takkula has responded to the invitation that the Nigeria Football Federation extended to Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna ahead of the upcoming Unity Cup tournament.
Yohanna has enjoyed a bright start to the season in Sweden and has quickly emerged as one of AIK’s standout performers.
His impressive performances have drawn growing attention from the Nigerian setup as the team seeks to strengthen its attacking options.
The winger has registered two goals and three assists in seven league appearances.
This form earned him a maiden call-up from Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle ahead of the invitational competition.
However, AIK recruitment chief says the club will decide whether or not Yohanna will honour the invitation.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Takkula confirmed that AIK had received the official invitation but stressed that the club would deliberate internally before making a final decision on his release.
