Akor Adams played his first game for Sevilla in a goalless affair away at Getafe at the Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.
Adams came on a second half substitute in the 81st minute as a replaced former Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.
However, the striker had a very little time to snatch a late win for Sevilla as the match ended in a statement.
Getafe striker Juanmi had the best chance to score in the match but the 31-year-old fired his effort over the crossbar.
Both teams only had a shot on target each in a quite underwhelming performance in the game of the afternoon.
Chrisantus Uche, off his impressive performance against Real Sociedad last Sunday started in midfield for Getafe and was quite decent.
Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke also came on as a second half substitute for Sevilla after a long period on the sidelines.
However, Kelechi Iheanacho on the hand didn’t make an appearance as he continues to struggle to get game time at the club.
The former Leicester City forward joined Sevilla as a free agent last summer but has not enjoyed game time especially in the league.
Iheanacho has only made nine league without a goal or assist.
