Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly agreed a deal in principle to become the new coach of football powerhouse Brazil.
According to football transfers expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Italian manager will become the coach of five-time world champions in June.
He also added that Ancelotti and Real Madrid will pathways amicably at the end of the season as the former takes up a new challenge.
“Carlo Ancelotti and Brazil have reached an agreement in principle for the Italian to become Seleçao head coach for the World Cup 2026. Deal valid from June, NOT after Clubs World Cup.
Real Madrid and Ancelotti would part ways nicely with formal steps needed next.”
Carlo Ancelotti has played down talks of becoming the coach of the Seleçao in the past few months insisting he’s happy to continue at Real Madrid.
However, with Real Madrid’s ouster from the Champions League, and the possibility of ending the season trophyless, Ancelotti’s days will come to an end sooner than later.
Ancelotti replaces Dorival Junior after just a year in charge of the fomer World chanpions.
Carlo Ancelotti will lead Brazil to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States with the hope of adding the sixth star to their shirt.
