Tolu Arokodare has issued a public response to reports of a training ground dispute at Wolves, rejecting much of the coverage as false.
The Super Eagles striker released a statement via X on Wednesday. He said he was “very surprised and disappointed” by Wednesday’s media reports, adding that many of them are inaccurate.
Arokodare used the statement to reject claims that he clashed with new manager Cesar Peixoto over training arrangements. He referenced his professional record, stating that he has always taken pride in conducting himself professionally and maintaining high training standards throughout his career.
He further addressed the current situation directly, explaining that his commitment has always been to prepare himself properly so he can contribute to his teammates and the club whenever called upon.
Arokodare also addressed speculation regarding his long-term future at Molineux. He confirmed that he remains under contract with Wolves, stating that his only intention is to fulfil his responsibilities professionally by training, doing his job, and contributing to the team in line with his contract.
The statement arrives amid continued uncertainty over Arokodare’s future at the club following Wolves’ relegation to the Championship. Trabzonspor, Fiorentina, Genoa, and Ajax have all been linked with a move for the 25-year-old this summer.
It remains unclear whether the statement will ease tensions with the Wolves hierarchy. Arokodare has, however, placed his position on record as speculation over his future at the club continues.
