Arokodare on target, Super Eagles’ Fulham trio suffer defeat as Arsenal stay solid on top

Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare, scored his second Premier League goal of the season in Wolverhampton Wanderers home loss to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Arokodare pounced on a rebound after the ball fell to him from a corner-kick to give the host the only goal of the game as they fell to a 3-1 loss to the Blues at the Molineau.

Cole Palmer reached a monumental height in his career as he became the first player in the history of the Premier League to score a first-half hat trick.

Chelsea remain fifth on the log with 43 points, just one behind Manchester United, who secured their fourth win in a row under Michael Carrick.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles trio, Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, and Samuel Chukwueze were on display as Fulham suffered a home defeat to Everton.

The Cottagers came into the game on the back of a loss to Manchester United last Sunday, but failed to bounce back as they lost to David Moyes’ side.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and an unfortunate own-goal by Fulham’s goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, fifteen minutes from time, gave the visitors maximum points at Craven Cottage.

Arsenal remain on top of the log with nine points over Manchester City and Aston Villa momentarily, as the Gunners rolled over Sunderland at the Emirates.

Viktor Gyokores came off the bench to bag a brace in the 3-0 win over the Black Cats to increase the gap over their rivals in second and third place, respectively, after match day 25.
