Super Falcons striker, Rinsola Babajide scored the only goal for her side, Costa Adeje Tenerife as they played out a 1-1 draw against Levante Badalona on Sunday at the Campo de Fútbol de Adeje.
Levante Badalona had the upper hand in majority of the first half and their persistence paid off in the 44th minute when Estefanía Banini, capitalizing on a precise pass from Rebecca Elloh, slotted the ball past Tenerife’s goalkeeper, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead just before halftime.
Costa Adeje Tenerife emerged from the break with determination to overturn the deficit. Their efforts were rewarded in the 55th minute when Rinsola Babajide scored the equalizer with a superb solo effort.
Both teams were unable to find a winner for the rest of the encounter, as they were forced to settle for a point each.
This draw positions Costa Adeje Tenerife in 7th place on the Liga F table with 31 points, while Levante Badalona holds 9th place with 22 points.
