However, Barcelona took the tie out of reach in the second half as they scored four consecutive goals.
Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha bagged a brace each as the tie ended 7-2 and 8-3 on aggregate.
Barcelona’s win ended Newcastle United’s six-game uneaten run to an end aas they recorded their 11th consecutive progressive from the knockout stage of the Champions League.
