Bayern Munich delivered a professional performance to defeat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 at the BayArena, securing their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a commanding 5-0 aggregate victory.

The opening 45 minutes saw both teams engage in an intense tactical contest. Leverkusen, tried to impose their fluid attacking style, while Bayern, remained composed and disciplined in defense.

Leroy Sané and Florian Wirtz had early chances, but neither could break the deadlock. Bayern gradually took control as Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala began influencing the game.

However, Leverkusen’s defense, marshaled by Jonathan Tah, held firm, and the teams went into halftime level at 0-0.

The breakthrough arrived in the 52nd minute. Joshua Kimmich whipped in a precise free-kick, and Harry Kane—always a threat in the box—rose highest to head home, giving Bayern the lead and putting Leverkusen in a desperate position.

Things went from bad to worse for the hosts in the 71st minute. Kane, turning provider, slipped a perfect pass into the path of Alphonso Davies, who calmly slotted past Lukas Hradecky to seal Bayern’s victory.

With this win, Bayern move into the quarter-finals, where they will face Inter Milan, who advanced after a 4-1 aggregate victory over Feyenoord. Meanwhile, Leverkusen, unbeaten in the Bundesliga, will now shift their focus to domestic ambitions.
