Bayern smash TEN past helpless Auckland City

Bayern Munich delivered a devastating performance to open their FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a historic 10-0 demolition of Auckland City at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati.

The German champions wasted no time in asserting their dominance, tearing apart the semi-professional New Zealand outfit with a clinical and ruthless display of attacking football that saw goals rain in from the opening minutes until the final whistle.

Kingsley Coman set the tone for the evening by opening the scoring just six minutes into the match, latching onto a sharp cross and finishing with precision.

The French winger doubled his tally in the 21st minute after Sacha Boey had made it 2-0 three minutes earlier with a composed strike.

Michael Olise, making his Club World Cup debut, was electric throughout the first half and netted twice—once in the 20th minute and again in stoppage time before the break.

Sandwiched between Olise’s goals was a well-taken effort from veteran forward Thomas Müller, giving Bayern a commanding 6-0 lead at halftime.

Despite the scoreline, Bayern showed no signs of letting up after the break. Jamal Musiala came off the bench and produced a dazzling 29-minute hat-trick, scoring in the 67th, 73rd (from the penalty spot), and 84th minutes.

The 21-year-old midfielder’s cameo was a masterclass in movement and composure, as he toyed with the Auckland defence. Müller then capped off the record-breaking night with his second goal in the 89th minute, turning in a cross to complete Bayern’s double-digit rout.

Harry Kane, Bayern’s marquee striker, surprisingly failed to get on the scoresheet and was withdrawn after the hour mark, but the night belonged to his teammates, who dismantled their overwhelmed opponents with precision and flair.

Auckland City, composed largely of part-time players including schoolteachers and real estate agents, battled gamely but were simply outmatched by the European giants.

The final scoreline not only broke the record for the largest winning margin in Club World Cup history but also sent a clear message to the rest of the competition.

Bayern now top Group C and will face Boca Juniors and Benfica in their remaining fixtures, while Auckland City must quickly regroup to salvage pride and possibly points from their remaining games.
