Bundesliga club RB Leipzig are reportedly eyeing a move for Nigerian international defender Benjamin Fredrick.
The 20-year-old centre-back, who plays for FCV Dender in Belgium on loan from Brentford, has impressed scouts with a series of commanding displays for the Super Eagles, starting Nigeria’s last four matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

According to reports, Leipzig are preparing a €1.5 million bid for the former Flying Eagles standout, with a 15% sell-on clause included in the proposed offer.
A move to Germany would mark another major step in Fredrick’s rapid rise and further strengthen Nigeria’s growing presence in the Bundesliga. Should the transfer go through, Fredrick could soon line up against or even alongside Boniface, one of the league’s most influential Nigerian stars, who continues to shine despite ongoing transfer speculation.
