Benjamin Mendy has joined FC Zurich in the Swiss Super League.
The former Manchester City defender joins the Swiss clun 15 months after his move to Lorient.
Mendy joined Lorient after he was found not guilty of a rape charge that kept him out of action at Manchester for three years.
The 30-year-old defender played 15 matches for the Ligue 2 side and registered two goals and an assist during the 2023/2024 season.
FC Zurich announced the arrival of Benjamin Mendy in a statement on its X page on Tuesday.
Mendy will look to get regular play time and get back to shape after a long haitus from football.
In a related development, the defender won his case of unpaid wages at Manchester City during his court case.
The Employment Tribunal upheld his claim and directed Manchester City to pay his wages including the bonuses within the terms of his contract.
