Bodo Glimt are one match away from creating history after beating Lazio in the first leg of the Europa League.
The Norwegian side recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over the Italians to edge closer to becoming the first Norwegian team to reach the semi-finals of an European competition.
Ulrik Saltnes bagged a brace in the second half to give Bodo Glimt a realistic chance of making history.
After an uneventful first half, Ulrik Saltnes gave the home side the lead with a first-time shot into the net form Ole Bomberg’s cheeky pass.
The Norwegian midfilder doubled the lead a few minutes later as he received a pass in good position and lifted the ball over Christos Mandas.
Christos Mandas pulled off a brilliant save to save Saltnes’ from bagging a hat trick on the night.
The match ended in a two-nil for the Norwegian champions as they held to Rome for the second leg next week.
