Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch in a friendly match against Sweden on Sunday evening.
The former Tottenham and Manchester United midfielder lay down on the pitch for a few minutes, stood up afterwards and walked to the ambulance himself.
Immediately after the midfielder went down, both Danish and Swedish players formed a circle around him while the medical staff attended to him.
The match was called off at 2-1 following the unfortunate incident.
Danish FA chairman confirmed that the midfielder is fine and conscious.
“Christian Eriksen is conscious and doing well under the circumstances.”
The incident marks the second time Christian Eriksen has collapsed on the pitch, the first being in 2021 during a Euro 2020 group stage match against Finland.
