Real Madrid legend Luka Modric will leave the club at the end of the season after thirteen years.
Luka Modric will leave Real Madrid at the end of its participation at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States this summer.
The fifteen-time European champions announced Modric’s departure via a post on its X page.

“Real Madrid C. F. and our captain Luka Modrić have agreed to end an unforgettable stage as a player for our club at the end of the Club World Cup that our team will play from June 18 in the United States. Real Madrid wants to show its gratitude and all its love to those who are already one of the greatest legends of our club and world football.”
Luka Modric arrived Real Madrid in 2012 and led the club to 28 trophies including 6 European Cups, 6 Club World Cups, 5 European Super Cups, 4 Leagues, 2 King’s Cups and 5 Spanish Super Cups.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is one of five Real Madrid players to have won six Champions League yotles.
Modric is the only player in Real Madrid’s 123 years of history with the most number of titles. He 43 goals, 95 assists in 590 appearances.

Modrić won the 2018 Ballon d’Or, the Best Player of the Year Award from FIFA and was named UEFA Player of the Year.
