Bruno Onyemechi had an outstanding performance despite Boavista’s loss to Casa Pia on Monday night.
Boavista’s winless run continue as they fell to a 3-2 home loss to the visitors.
Casa Pia took a two-goal within thirteen minutes via Rodrigo Abasacal and Felipe Ferriera’s unfortunate own goals.
However, the Super Eagles defender pulled one back for the home side just before halftime.
French striker Jeremy Livolant increased Casa Pia’s lead a few minutes into the second half to make it 3-1.
Boavista’s night went from bad to worse as defender Pedro Gomez got sent off for red card offense.
Bruno Onyemechi provided a late assist in added time to Slovakian striker Robert Bozenik as Boavista reduced the deficit again.
The match ended in a 3-2 loss for Bruno Onyemechi’s Boavista as they remain winless in eight league matches.
Unfortunately, Onyemechi won’t be available for selection when Boavista visit Braga Saturday having picked up an early yellow card.
Boavista are last on the league table with 12 points after 18 matches.
