Chelsea’s aspirations for a top-four Premier League finish took a significant hit on Sunday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by relegation-threatened Ipswich Town at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues found themselves trailing 2-0 at halftime, with Ipswich’s Julio Enciso and Ben Johnson capitalizing on defensive lapses to put the visitors ahead.
In the second half, Chelsea mounted a comeback. An own goal by Ipswich’s Axel Tuanzebe, pressured by Marc Cucurella, reduced the deficit.

Substitute Jadon Sancho then delivered a stunning equalizer in the 79th minute, curling a shot into the top corner to level the match.
Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, Chelsea couldn’t find a winner. The draw leaves them fifth in the league standings, one point behind Manchester City and level on points with Aston Villa, intensifying the race for Champions League qualification.
Ipswich, meanwhile, remain in 18th place and face an uphill battle to avoid relegation. Their spirited performance at Stamford Bridge, however, showcased their determination to fight until the end of the season.
