Chelsea playmaker Cole Palmer had an outstanding performance as the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup ended in a quite a surprising fashion.
The 23-year-old English midfielder scored twice and provided an assist as Chelsea thrashed tournament’s favorite and reigning European champions PSG.
Cole Palmer’s brace and Joao Pedro’s classy finish in the first-half sealed a 3-0 for Enzo Maresca’s men on Sunday afternoon at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Cole Palmer picked up the tournament’s Most Valuable Player with three goals and two assists in six matches.
PSG forward Desire Doue was named the young player of the tournament. The 20-year-old scored a goal and registered an assist.

Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia won the Golden Boot award with four goals. The 21-year-old striker scored in four of Real Madrid’s six matches before losing to PSG in the semi-final.
Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez won the Golden Glove award after a stellar performance in the final. The Spanish goalkeeper made six saves to help Chelsea keep a clean sheet.
