Manchester City’s top-four hopes took an early hit when Crystal Palace’s slick move ended with Ismaïla Sarr setting up Eberechi Eze for an easy tap-in.
Pep Guardiola’s mood worsened when Chris Richards headed in Adam Wharton’s corner from close range. Eze nearly made it three, but an offside flag saved City.
However, there was reprieve for the hosts as Kevin De Bruyne smashed a 30-yard free-kick off the post to pull one back.

James McAtee missed a golden chance after the restart, but City’s momentum paid off when Marmoush rifled in from six yards following a lucky bounce.
The turnaround was complete early in the second half, as De Bruyne set up Mateo Kovačić for a cool finish into the bottom corner.
McAtee finally got his goal, latching onto Ederson’s precise pass, rounding Henderson, and slotting into an empty net, and Nico O’Reilly volleyed home to seal the win.
