Fiorentina began the match assertively, capitalizing on Lazio’s defensive vulnerabilities. Yacine Adli opened the scoring in the 11th minute, connecting with a precise pass from Robin Gosens to volley the ball into the net.
Shortly after, in the 17th minute, Lucas Beltrán doubled Fiorentina’s lead, heading in a cross from Dodo. Fiorentina continued to press, with Gudmundsson nearly adding a third, but his acrobatic attempt struck the post.
In response to the deficit, Lazio’s coach made strategic substitutions, introducing Nicolò Rovella and Pedro to bolster the attack.
